| Reverse description | The reverse features a boldly rendered effigy of a pig in profile facing right, depicted in high relief against a vivid red coloured background that fills the upper and left portions of the field. The background is decorated with traditional Chinese lattice and floral roundel motifs. The large Chinese character 亥 (Hai, representing the twelfth Earthly Branch associated with the pig) appears in the upper right of the coloured field, accompanied by a small decorative scroll above it.
