Reverse description The standard Euro cent reverse, designed by Luc Luycx, depicts a stylised map of the European Union prior to the 2008 enlargement, representing the fifteen member states of the EU as a unified geographic motif. The face value 10 EURO CENT is inscribed in bold relief to the left of the map. The designer's initials LL appear discreetly in the field. Fine horizontal lines in the background field evoke the European continent, while a globe segment visible to the left and right of the map reinforces the international context of the single currency.
