| Obverse description | The obverse features the Madara Horseman (Мадарски конник), the celebrated early medieval rock relief carved into the Shumen Plateau cliff face and a UNESCO World Heritage symbol of Bulgaria. The equestrian figure is depicted in profile, rendered in bold relief against the coin's field. The Cyrillic legend БЪЛГАРИЯ (Bulgaria) is inscribed along the upper portion of the design, while the mint year 2026 and the denomination inscription СТОТИНКИ (Cents) appear in the field. Twelve five-pointed stars representing the European Union arc around the design, affirming Bulgaria's membership in the eurozone. |
