正面描述	The obverse depicts a detailed rendering of St. Stephen's Cathedral (Stephansdom) in Vienna, one of the most celebrated examples of Gothic ecclesiastical architecture in Central Europe, engraved by Josef Kaiser. To the left of the cathedral, vertical heraldic hatchings symbolise the red-white-red tricolor of the Austrian national flag. The denomination is absent from the obverse, which is instead encircled by a ring of twelve five-pointed stars representing the member states of the European Union.

附加信息	Austria's euro cent series switched to the "second map" reverse — showing the EU's expanded geography after the 2004 and 2007 enlargements — across all member states simultaneously in 2008, replacing the original design that had depicted only the fifteen pre-enlargement members. Münze Österreich, which traces its institutional history to the Vienna mint founded in 1194, produces these under contract for domestic circulation alongside collector issues.
