| Obverse description | A three-quarter perspective view of the Basilica di San Marino occupies the central field, rendered in fine relief with its neoclassical colonnade, pediment, and stepped podium clearly delineated. The legend SAN MARINO arcs across the upper field, with the date of issue positioned to the right. Twelve five-pointed stars, representing the member states of the European Union, border the design along the inner rim. The Rome Mint mark R appears in the lower exergual area beneath the building, flanked by stars. The engravers' initials Ch, ELF, and the designer's mark are discretely placed within the field. |
