Obverse description Intaglio portrait of King Sobhuza II in traditional Swazi regalia occupies the left third of the note, set against a multicolour guilloche underprint in blue, orange, and green. At centre, a large circular vignette bears the denomination numeral '10' flanked by crossed assegais and the inscription 'LALISHUMI EMALANGENI' in a decorative surround, with a vignette of the Monetary Authority building and an elephant below. The issuing authority legend 'MONETARY AUTHORITY OF SWAZILAND' arches across the top, with two signature panels for the Minister for Finance and the Governor at lower centre-right, and a crowned lion device at lower left.

Reverse description The reverse is dominated by a detailed intaglio vignette of the Havelock Asbestos Mine, rendered in blue and dark navy tones, showing the mine headframe, processing buildings, conveyor infrastructure, and hillside terrain in precise line-engraved style. A decorative rosette guilloche element appears at upper left, and the denomination numerals '10' are placed at lower left and lower right corners within ornate cartouches. The issuer inscription 'MONETARY AUTHORITY OF SWAZILAND' runs across the top panel, with 'TEN EMALANGENI' lettered in bold at lower left.
