| Reverse description | A detailed panoramic cityscape of Gdańsk (Danzig) occupies the central field, depicting the city's characteristic skyline with towers, spires, and harbor, framed by scenes of the surrounding countryside. Above the city view, a radiate tetragrammaton emerges from clouds with four divine arms: the left arm holds an olive branch symbolizing peace, the right arm bears a sword and scales representing justice, and two arms below are shown with hands clasped in prayer. In the exergue, the royal coat-of-arms of the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth is flanked by leonine supporters. The date 1650 and the mintmaster's initials GR appear within the reverse legend. The overall composition is richly emblematic, reflecting the civic pride and devotional character of Gdańsk's civic commemorative coinage. |
