Reverse description A finely detailed panoramic bird's-eye view of the city of Danzig (Gdańsk) fills the entire field, rendered in extraordinary relief with remarkable topographic precision, depicting the city's skyline of church spires, towers, fortifications, and densely packed urban fabric, bisected by the Motława River with vessels visible on the water and fortified bridges crossing it. In the upper portion of the field, above the cityscape, appears the arms of Gdańsk — two white crosses on a red shield surmounted by a crown, flanked by two lions supporting the escutcheon — executed in cartouche form. The Latin legend arcs across the upper rim, and the entire design is enclosed within a beaded border.
