Reverse description An elaborate heraldic composition centered on three oval shields bearing the arms of Sweden, Denmark, and Norway, arranged above a large cross with thick elongated arms. The Danish royal crown surmounts the central group, intersecting the upper arm of the cross. The three central shields are encircled by a decorative interlaced band, from which hangs the pendant of the Order of the Elephant. Fifteen small oval shields of the provincial arms of the Danish realm are disposed around the central band, while a four-part Latin legend fills the quadrants between the cross arms; the mint master's initials GK appear divided at either side of the lower arm of the cross, immediately above the Order pendant.
