Reverse description Imperial double-headed eagle displayed with wings spread and talons visible at the base, each head surmounted by an individual crown, the whole ensigned by a large imperial crown above. The breast of the eagle bears a quartered Habsburg shield of arms, representing the dynastic territories. A continuous Latin legend surrounds the composition, with the date 1603 incorporated at the top of the coin, reading ARCHIDUX AUSTRIAE DUX BUR MA 1603. The entire design is executed in the bold, deeply struck decorative style typical of prestigious Bohemian multiple-ducat coinage of the early seventeenth century.
