Beschrijving voorzijde Armored half-length effigy of Georg Rákóczi I facing right, wearing a richly decorated breastplate and a fur-trimmed Hungarian cap adorned with a feather plume; the prince holds a sceptre in his right hand. The bust is rendered in fine relief within a beaded inner circle, itself enclosed by a dotted border. The surrounding Latin legend reads GEORG RAKOC II D G PR TR PAR RE HVN DO ET SIC COM, identifying the ruler as Prince of Transylvania, Lord of Parts of the Kingdom of Hungary, and Count of the Székelys. The entire design is struck on a square klippe flan, with the circular device centered within the diamond-oriented planchet.

Beschrijving keerzijde The reverse features a central ornate rectangular cartouche with elaborate scrollwork and foliate flourishes at each corner, enclosing the devotional inscription in six lines: NON EST CURRENTIS NEQUE VOLENTIS SED MISERENTIS DEI (Romans 9:16 — 'It is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy'). The circular legend surrounding the inner beaded border reads SOLI DEO GLORIA ANNO DOMINI 1639, expressing the Calvinist motto 'Glory to God alone' and the year of issue. The entire composition is contained within a beaded and dotted outer border on the square klippe flan, reflecting the deeply personal Calvinist piety of the issuing prince.
