Beschrijving voorzijde Centrally positioned crowned coat of arms of Transylvania, composed of a quartered shield displaying the Hungarian fesse and the Transylvanian towers, supported by a rampant eagle to the left and a lion to the right, all within a decorative cartouche. The mint name CIBIN appears in the exergue below the shield, identifying the Sibiu (Hermannstadt) mint. A continuous Latin legend surrounds the central device reading GABRIEL D G PRIN TRAN PAR REG HVN D ET SI COME, giving the full titulature of Prince Gabriel Báthori. The entire composition is rendered in a bold, high-relief hammered style characteristic of large Transylvanian multiple ducats of the early seventeenth century.

Beschrijving keerzijde The reverse presents a bold and unadorned typographic design, with the four-line Latin motto PRO PATRIA ARIS ET FOCIS — meaning 'For fatherland, altars, and hearths' — filling the entire field in large, prominent capital letters. The date 16•11• is inscribed below the motto in two groups separated by a central dot, conforming to the standard dating convention of Transylvanian coinage of this period. A fine inner beaded border frames the legend, and the overall composition is deliberately spare, lending monumental emphasis to the patriotic inscription. The hammered execution produces slightly uneven letter depths characteristic of the period and the Sibiu workshop.
