背面描述 The entire reverse field is occupied by a ten-line devotional inscription in capital Roman letters, set within a plain polished field without any pictorial device. The text, struck with remarkable clarity, reads as a solemn dedicatory prayer from all Sweden to Frederick I on the occasion of his journey to Hesse in June 1731, imploring God for a happy and auspicious departure and return. The inscription is arranged in evenly spaced horizontal lines filling the field from top to bottom, with a terminal stop after the final word PRECATVR. The border is defined by the same milled graining as the obverse.

附加信息

Frederick I of Sweden spent most of his reign as a figurehead king under a constitution that stripped the crown of nearly all executive power — the so-called Age of Liberty, during which the Riksdag governed in practice. Multiple-ducat presentation pieces like this one were not struck for circulation but served as diplomatic gifts and court presentation pieces, a tradition the Swedish mint maintained even as the monarchy's actual authority contracted. The 1731 date falls squarely in that period.

Fr#62 is among the rarer Swedish gold multiples of the era, with surviving examples concentrated in a handful of Scandinavian institutional collections.
