The horse rears dramatically on its hind legs in a classical levade pose. Beneath the horse's hooves lies a large crowned heraldic shield bearing the combined arms of Poland and Saxony, symbolising the elector's dual royal and electoral dignity. The composition is rendered in high relief with fine baroque detailing throughout. The milled edge is visible at the coin's periphery, and the field is left plain to emphasise the sculptural quality of the design. |
