Obverse description Laureate and armored bust of Emperor Ferdinand III facing right, wearing a laurel wreath and elaborately engraved plate armor with a lion's head pauldron visible at the left shoulder. The effigy is rendered in high relief with finely detailed hair flowing beneath the wreath, characteristic of Baroque imperial portraiture. A beaded inner circle frames the bust, with the Latin legend running along the outer rim between beaded borders. The mintmaster's initials appear at the base of the bust truncation.
