| Obverse description | Laureate and armored bust of Emperor Ferdinand III facing right, wearing richly decorated plate armor with an ornate collar and a laurel wreath tied with a ribbon at the nape of the neck. The effigy is rendered in high relief with fine detail in the hair, beard, and chased armor. The date 1641 appears in the lower field. The circular Latin legend runs along the inner border of a beaded outer rim. |

| Additional information |
The Graz mint operated under direct Styrian provincial authority, and Ferdinand III's multiple ducats from this facility are among the most ambitious gold strikes of the mid-Habsburg period. The 1641 date places this piece squarely within the closing years of the Thirty Years' War — a conflict that had drained Imperial treasuries for over two decades and made large gold presentation strikes simultaneously more expensive to produce and more politically necessary as diplomatic gifts.
Herinek 24 is a recognized rarity. Survivors in any condition are infrequently encountered at auction.
