| Descrizione del dritto | Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Ferdinand III facing right, wearing armour with an elaborate gorget and mantle, rendered in high relief with fine detail. The effigy is encircled by a wreath of laurel leaves, within which the date 1638 appears at the base of the bust. The surrounding legend, reading FERDINAN III D G ROM IMP S A G H BO REX, runs along the outer border in capital Latin letters, separated by pellets. The overall composition is characteristic of the grand Baroque presentation pieces struck at the Graz Mint. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | The central field displays a large, elaborately quartered and crowned coat of arms of the Habsburg dynasty, incorporating the arms of Austria, Burgundy, Castile, Leon, Bohemia, Styria, and other dominions, all within an ornate cartouche surmounted by an imperial crown. The shield is flanked by decorative mantling and supported by scrollwork typical of Baroque heraldic engraving. The encircling legend ARCHI AVS DVX BVR STYRIÆ ETC runs along the outer border in capital Latin letters, referencing Ferdinand III's titles as Archduke of Austria, Duke of Burgundy, and lord of Styria and other territories. The rim is bordered by a fine toothed edge on both sides consistent with the hammered technique. |
