正面描述 The obverse presents an elaborate cartouche-style design dominated by a six-line Latin commemorative inscription occupying the central field, rendered in bold relief capital letters. The text reads IN MEMORIAM REGIAE CORONATIONIS ET COMITIORUM RATISBON ANO MDCLIII, recording the royal coronation and Imperial Diet held at Regensburg in 1653. The inscription is framed by richly modelled acanthus scrollwork and foliate ornaments rising symmetrically on both sides. At the apex, a winged cherub's head or solar mask radiates above the cartouche, lending the composition a distinctly Baroque character. A mintmaster's mark appears below the final line of text at the base of the cartouche.

附加信息

Struck to commemorate the Imperial Diet of Regensburg in 1653–54, where Ferdinand III convened the last gathering of the Holy Roman Empire's estates before the constitutional reforms that followed the Thirty Years' War. Regensburg, as the permanent seat of the Reichstag after 1663, had both the prestige and the financial incentive to produce presentation-grade multiples of this kind — distributed as diplomatic gifts rather than circulated currency.

The Fiala reference places this among a small group of surviving Regensburg gold multiples from the coronation series, several of which differ by minor die distinctions now tracked under separate Planck numbers.
