Obverse description Draped laureate bust of Emperor Charles VI facing right, wearing armor with elaborate lace cravat and flowing long curled wig in the Baroque style. The effigy is rendered in high relief with fine detail to the hair and drapery. The circumferential Latin legend reads CAROL VI D G R I S A GE HI HU BO REX, identifying the emperor as Charles VI by the grace of God, King of the Romans, Germany, Hungary, Bohemia, and others. The legend is divided by the truncation of the bust.
