Reverse description Elaborate helmeted and mantled coat of arms of the House of Welf (Brunswick-Lüneburg), quartered with the heraldic charges of the constituent territories, surrounded by exuberant baroque cartouche scrollwork. Three crested helms surmount the shield, the central crest bearing a ducal coronet with sword and hat between wings. The date 17-20 is divided at the lower left and right of the shield, flanked by the mint-master initials HC and HY. The motto legend PARTA TUERI arcs along the upper field. A fine beaded border frames the entire design.
