Obverse description Bold high-relief effigy of Duke Anthony Ulrich of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel facing right, depicted as a mature figure with an elaborate long curled wig falling to the shoulders, wearing armour with ornate decorative detailing at the shoulder. The deeply modelled bust occupies the majority of the field in the Baroque portrait tradition. The circumferential Latin legend reads ANTONIUS ULRICUS . D : G : DUX BR : ET LUN :, distributed around the upper and lower rim, with a fine milled border encircling the coin.
