Obverse description Central device depicts two crossed papal keys — the traditional arms of Regensburg — enclosed within a finely detailed wreath of oak leaves and acorns, tied at the base with a ribbon bow. The circular Latin legend MONETA REIP . RATISBONENSIS arcs around the periphery, reading from lower left to upper right. The engraver's initials G . C . B . (Georg Christoph Busch) appear in the lower exergual area beneath the wreath. The overall composition is rendered in high relief with exceptional craftsmanship consistent with late 18th-century German minting standards.
