| Obverse description | Draped and armored bust of Ferrante II Gonzaga facing right, with curly hair and a full beard, clad in ornate armor with a mantle draped over the shoulders and a decorative chain at the chest. The effigy is rendered in high relief in a bold late-Renaissance style. The circular Latin legend runs along the inner border, which is defined by a beaded inner rim. The field is broad and slightly concave, characteristic of large hammered gold multiples of the period. |

| Reverse description | The Annunciation scene depicted in high relief: the Angel Gabriel kneels at left, extending an olive branch toward the Virgin Mary, who kneels at right before a lectern or prie-dieu with a book, her hands raised in a gesture of humble acceptance. Rays of divine light descend from above, emanating from a radiant source at the top of the field. The date 1610 appears in the exergue, with an additional partial legend below. The circular Latin legend referencing the words of the Annunciation runs along the inner beaded border. |
