| Obverse description | The arms of Singapore occupy the central field, depicting a shield charged with a crescent moon and five stars arranged in a circle, supported on the dexter side by a lion rampant and on the sinister side by a tiger rampant, both rendered in high relief. A ribbon scroll below the shield bears the national motto in Malay. The country name appears in four scripts around the periphery: Latin (SINGAPURA) along the upper arc, Tamil (சிங்கப்பூர்) to the left, Chinese (新加坡) to the right, and SINGAPORE at the base.
