The legend SINGAPURA appears in Malay script, 新加坡 in Chinese characters, SINGAPORE in Latin script, and சிங்கப்பூர் in Tamil script, distributed around the circumference in the four official languages of the Republic. The national motto MAJULAH SINGAPURA arcs along the lower border, and the year of issue 1987 appears in the exergue below the arms. |
