Obverse description At centre, the Arms of Singapore featuring a lion and a tiger as supporters flanking a shield, surmounted by a crescent and five stars, with a wave motif at the base. The national motto MAJULAH SINGAPURA appears on a ribbon below the shield. Encircling the arms, the country name is rendered in all four official languages — Malay (SINGAPURA), Chinese (新加坡), English (SINGAPORE), and Tamil (சிங்கப்பூர்) — arranged around the full circumference as a continuous legend. The year of issue, 1982, is inscribed below the arms, and the Singapore Mint mark appears at approximately the four o'clock position in the field.
