Obverse description At centre, the Arms of Singapore featuring a lion and a tiger as supporters flanking a shield, surmounted by a crescent and five stars, with a wave motif at the base. The national motto MAJULAH SINGAPURA appears on a ribbon below the shield. Encircling the arms, the country name is rendered in all four official languages — Malay (SINGAPURA), Chinese (新加坡), English (SINGAPORE), and Tamil (சிங்கப்பூர்) — arranged around the full circumference as a continuous legend. The year of issue, 1982, is inscribed below the arms, and the Singapore Mint mark appears at approximately the four o'clock position in the field.

Reverse description Within a raised inner circle at centre, a finely detailed standing dog — rendered in the likeness of a pug — is depicted in full profile facing right, with two Chinese characters (壬戌, denoting the sexagenary year corresponding to the Year of the Dog) inscribed above the animal in the upper field. Surrounding the inner circle, a broad border contains all twelve animals of the Chinese zodiac rendered in high relief: rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, goat, monkey, rooster, dog, and pig, arranged in sequence around the circumference. Below the inner circle, the denomination legend 10 DOLLARS is inscribed in bold, curved lettering across the lower field.
