Singapore adopted the format for its Lunar series as a premium collectible tier, and the 2006 Dog issue sits at the tail end of the first full 12-year Lunar cycle the mint completed. The doubled silver mass gives the piece a noticeably different acoustic and tactile quality that collectors of the format specifically seek.
