| Obverse description | The official seal of the Republic of the Marshall Islands occupies the central field, depicting a traditional Marshallese stick chart (rebbelib) in the lower portion, with a frigate bird in flight above, a radiant sun, a sailing outrigger canoe, and palm-covered islands in the background. The design is framed by a decorative rope-chain border around the entire circumference. The curved legend REPUBLIC OF THE MARSHALL ISLANDS arcs along the upper border, while the denomination $10 appears to the left and the date 1998 to the right. The Marshallese national motto JEPILPILIN KE EJUKAAN curves along the lower border above the word SEAL on a banner at the base of the central design. |
