The Marshall Islands issued a long series of brass commemoratives through the 1990s, most produced by the Pobjoy Mint and sold directly to collectors — they saw no meaningful circulation. This piece honors American Vietnam veterans during the 50th anniversary window of World War II commemorations, a period when U.S. political attention to Vietnam-era service was also sharpening following the 1995 normalization of diplomatic relations between Washington and Hanoi.
