Reverse description A detailed relief representation of the Mask of Agamemnon, the celebrated Mycenaean funerary gold mask discovered at Shaft Grave V at Mycenae by Heinrich Schliemann in 1876, occupies the central field. The mask depicts a bearded male face with almond-shaped eyes, a prominent nose, and a stylized mustache, rendered with faithful attention to the original artifact's hammered sheet-gold aesthetic. A fine inner beaded border separates the central motif from the surrounding flat field. The legend THE MASK OF AGAMEMNON arcs along the left and upper periphery in Latin characters, while the date 2007 appears in the lower field flanked by decorative dots.
