To the left, a vertical dark green latticework border and a circular decorative rosette in green and blue are set against the note's pale ground. Central inscriptions in both English and Chinese present the bank's promise-to-pay text in italic script, with the denomination 'Ten Dollars / 拾圓' in bold letterpress, and the date and place of issue at lower centre flanked by two facsimile signatures. |

At centre, a large open Bauhinia flower (Hong Kong's emblem) is printed in intaglio over a multicolour guilloche underprint in green and gold. To the lower centre, the bank name appears in a solid dark panel in white letterpress, while a decorative circular rosette in green appears at lower right. The denomination numeral '10' and Chinese characters '拾圓' are placed in the corners against a pale green ground. |
