| Description de l’avers | The national arms of the Republic of the Marshall Islands occupy the central field, depicting a frigate bird with outstretched wings above a traditional Marshallese canoe sailing on stylized waves, flanked by a sun with radiating rays at upper center and other indigenous motifs including a coconut palm and a fish trap. Two crossed traditional navigational sticks appear in the lower field beneath the central devices. The word SEAL appears in a cartouche at the base of the arms. The circumferential legend REPUBLIC OF THE MARSHALL ISLANDS arcs above, with the denomination $10 at the left and the date 1996 at the right, all enclosed within a decorative chain border. The Marshallese national motto JEPILPILIN KE EJUKAAN curves along the lower rim inside the chain. |
