Beschrijving keerzijde The reverse features a colorized photographic scene in the left field depicting a dramatic moment of the 1917 Russian Socialist Revolution, showing a figure raising a banner amid an industrial backdrop with warships visible below. To the right, in contrast, stands a sculpted high-relief figure of a winged allegorical female personification of Freedom or Victory, her right arm raised triumphantly, rendered in silver against a darkened background. The legend SOCIALIST REVOLUTION IN RUSSIA - 1917 arcs along the upper left in the colorized panel, and the series title MOMENTS OF FREEDOM is inscribed in two lines along the lower exergue.

Aanvullende informatie

Liberia has long operated as an opportunistic commemorative issuer, producing coins with no domestic relevance purely for the collector market. This piece marks the 89th anniversary of the Bolshevik Revolution — an odd interval, chosen almost certainly because the 90th-anniversary window was already contracted to another mint or distributor.

The series it belongs to flooded the market in the mid-2000s through bulk dealer channels, primarily in Europe and North America.
