| Description de l’avers | The national arms of Liberia occupies the central field, depicting a sailing ship at sea with a rising sun on the horizon, a palm tree, a dove in flight, a plough, and a spade, all enclosed within a decorative shield. The motto ribbon above the arms bears the legend THE LOVE OF LIBERTY BROUGHT US HERE, while a second legend REPUBLIC OF LIBERIA arcs along the lower portion of the shield.
