背面描述 A White-bellied Sea Eagle (Haliaeetus leucogaster) is depicted in dynamic descent, wings spread wide and talons extended downward, rendered in fine relief against a polished field. The bird's plumage detail — including the striated primary feathers and fanned tail — is meticulously engraved, conveying a sense of power and motion. The denomination 'IO DOLLARS' is inscribed in large serif capital letters along the lower arc of the coin.

附加信息

Singapore's first commemorative coin series, issued in the years immediately following full independence from Malaysia in 1965 and the British military withdrawal from the island in 1971. The Monetary Authority of Singapore had only been established in January 1971, making this among its earliest exercises in numismatic policy. The series was struck at the Singapore Mint, which had itself only opened in 1968 — a deliberate assertion of financial infrastructure for a nation barely a decade old.

KM#9 is part of a multi-coin set; examples found outside their original packaging frequently show capsule hairlines rather than circulation wear.
