| 表面の説明 | The national coat of arms of Barbados occupies the central field, featuring a shield charged with two Pride of Barbados flowers (Caesalpinia pulcherrima) and a bearded fig tree, supported on the dexter by a dolphin fish and on the sinister by a pelican. Above the shield sits an arm and hand grasping two crossed sugarcane stalks as crest. Below the shield, a ribbon scroll bears the national motto PRIDE AND INDUSTRY. The country name BARBADOS appears as the upper legend, while the denomination 10 DOLLARS is inscribed along the lower border, flanked by the purity designation 1oz to the left and Au 999 to the right. |

Barbados has issued gold bullion coinage sporadically since the 1970s, but the seahorse motif has become the most commercially successful of the modern series, driven largely by demand from Asian bullion markets where the animal carries strong cultural associations with luck and prosperity. The 2021 issue was produced by the Pobjoy Mint under license — a UK-based private mint responsible for a significant portion of Caribbean sovereign coinage since the 1970s.
