| Beschrijving keerzijde | A standing figure of a drummer is depicted at left, positioned before a map of Jamaica, while the Royal Yacht Britannia sails upon the sea at right. At upper centre, a conjoined cameo portrait of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip faces left, accompanied by the royal cypher E II R. The composition commemorates the royal visit to Jamaica in March 1994. The legend ROYAL VISIT · JAMAICA · MARCH 1994 arcs around the design, with E II R appearing below the cameo portraits. |

Issued to mark the 1994 royal visit to Jamaica, this was one of the later commemorative strikes produced under the long-running relationship between the Bank of Jamaica and the Royal Mint. By the mid-1990s, Jamaica had been an independent nation for over thirty years, yet the Crown visit still warranted official coinage — a nuance that reflects the island's continued status as a Commonwealth realm under Elizabeth II.
