| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse presents a finely detailed left-facing profile view of the Canadian Pacific Railway Royal Hudson steam locomotive, rendered with meticulous mechanical accuracy showing the driving wheels, running gear, boiler, and tender. A billowing cloud of steam and smoke rises dramatically from the smokestack, filling the upper field of the coin. The legend TEN DOLLARS arcs along the upper border, the locomotive name ROYAL HUDSON appears in the lower field below the engine, and the date 1996 is inscribed at the bottom of the coin. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
The Royal Hudson — Canadian Pacific locomotive 2860 — earned its name after hauling the royal train carrying King George VI and Queen Elizabeth on their 1939 cross-Canada tour. It was the only steam locomotive in Canadian history granted royal designation. The Marshall Islands issued a broad run of transport-themed coinage throughout the 1990s, contracting production to capitalize on collector markets with essentially no connection to the subject matter.
CP 2860 was retired in 1945, later restored, and ran excursion service out of Vancouver into the 1990s — still active when this coin was struck.
