目录
| 正面描述 | The national coat of arms of Belize occupies the central field, flanked by two woodcutter supporters standing on a scroll bearing the motto legend SUB UMBRA FLOREO; a mahogany tree surmounts the shield, which is quartered with tools and a sailing vessel. The entire arms device is encircled by an open wreath of olive branches. The legend BELIZE arcs along the upper periphery, the date 1983 is placed in the lower field, and a beaded border runs along the inner rim. |

Belize issued a parallel series of silver and cupro-nickel coins throughout the early 1980s, with the silver versions struck almost exclusively for collector export rather than domestic use. The Ringed Kingfisher was a deliberate choice for the wildlife series — Belize's lowland river systems support one of the densest Central American populations of the species, and the government was actively cultivating an ecological identity abroad during this period, partly in response to the newly independent nation's need to establish international credibility after separation from British Honduras in 1981.
KM#71a is the silver variant of KM#71, distinguished solely by composition. Most examples were sold through Franklin Mint distribution channels.
