The bust is set within a beaded inner circle, with the name 'HADRIAN VI.' inscribed vertically to the right of the effigy. To the lower left, a small papal shield bearing the arms of Adrian VI is present, accompanied by a mint mark. The arc legend 'BEATI * PACIFICI *' (Blessed are the Peacemakers) runs along the upper portion of the rim, and the date '2005' appears in the lower exergue.
