| 背面描述 | Printed in green intaglio on white paper, the reverse is composed of three elaborately interlaced guilloche panels. The upper central cartouche carries the two-line legend LA BANQUE / NATIONALE, while a small central vignette shows an allegorical seated figure. The word TEN appears in each outer corner, and NATIONALE is boldly lettered across the lower border, the entire design framed by dense lathe-work patterns; this example is perforated SPECIMEN. |

| 备注 |
La Banque Nationale was a Quebec City institution chartered in 1859, serving primarily the francophone commercial and agricultural sector of the province. This bilingual denomination — "10 Dollars / Piastres" — reflects the dual-currency reality of late Victorian Quebec, where the dollar was legal tender but "piastre" remained the working vocabulary of French Canadian commerce.
The British American Bank Note Company had by 1891 largely consolidated private bank note printing in Canada, absorbing earlier competitors and securing contracts with most chartered banks. La Banque Nationale would survive until 1924, when it merged with the Banque d'Hochelaga to form Banque Canadienne Nationale.
