| Beschrijving voorzijde | The obverse features the NASA "worm" logotype in bold, stylized sans-serif lettering centered within a raised circular border. The inscription NASA dominates the field in large relief characters, rendered in the distinctive rounded typographic style of the agency's 1975 logo design. The polished mirror field contrasts with the frosted matte finish of the lettering, giving the design a cameo-like appearance. No additional inscriptions, dates, or devices appear on this face. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse presents a central vignette enclosed within a circular inner border, depicting a bald eagle with wings fully spread, soaring above a scene of an astronaut standing on the lunar surface and saluting an unfurled American flag. The denomination $10 appears flanked on either side within the inner border. Surrounding the central design, the full legend NATIONAL AERONAUTICS & SPACE ADMINISTRATION arcs along the upper periphery, while ONE OUNCE 999 SILVER and the date 2022, flanked by rows of small stars, are inscribed along the lower border. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
The "worm" logotype — NASA's flowing, interconnected letterform — was designed by Richard Danne and Bruce Blackburn in 1975, retired in 1992 in favor of the older "meatball" insignia, and then formally reinstated by the agency in 2020 after decades of grassroots advocacy from designers and aerospace enthusiasts. Its comeback coincided with the Artemis program's early development, which gave the Treasury a timely hook for this commemorative authorization under the NASA Commemorative Coin Act of 2020.
The enabling legislation mandated that surcharges from sales fund the Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum.
