Prop currency made to replicate 1930s U.S. banknotes occupies a genuinely odd corner of notaphily — legally required to be distinguishable from genuine currency under U.S. federal law (18 U.S.C. § 504), yet the most convincing examples were produced before those restrictions were consistently enforced.
