| Obverse description | A heraldic eagle displayed in the American style occupies the center of the field, with wings outstretched and head turned to the left. The eagle is rendered in high relief with fine feather detailing, perched atop an olive branch. The encircling legend reads 'REPUBLIC OF LIBERIA' along the upper rim, with the denomination 'TEN DOLLARS' inscribed along the lower rim. A small mint mark appears below the eagle. |

Liberia's commemorative output around the turn of the millennium was prolific to the point of absurdity — the country issued dozens of themed silver rounds through licensing arrangements with foreign minting firms, most bearing little connection to Liberian history or governance. KM#696 is one of that cohort. Collector demand was modest at issue and has not meaningfully recovered.
