Beschrijving voorzijde The central field bears the National Seal of the Republic of the Marshall Islands, depicting a frigate bird above a traditional Marshallese sailing canoe, flanked by palm trees and ocean waves, with crossed navigational stick charts in the foreground. A radiant sun appears at the top of the seal, with a lei garland and a throwing stick on either side. The circular legend REPUBLIC OF THE MARSHALL ISLANDS arcs along the upper periphery, while the Marshallese national motto JEFILPLIN KE EJUKAAN (Accomplishment Through Joint Effort) appears along the lower periphery. The denomination $10 is inscribed to the left and the date 1991 to the right within the seal border. The word SEAL appears on a banner at the base of the central device.

Aanvullende informatie

The Ki-61 Hien ("Swallow") was the only liquid-cooled engine fighter fielded in significant numbers by the Imperial Japanese Army Air Force during World War II, powered by a licensed Daimler-Benz DB 601 derivative. Its production was chronically hampered by engine unreliability and shortages — many airframes sat engineless on the factory floor at Kawasaki's Kagamigahara plant while mechanics waited for powerplants that never arrived.

The Marshall Islands issued dozens of aviation-themed collector dollars in the early 1990s under a licensing arrangement that generated foreign exchange through novelty coinage. None circulated.
