| 背面描述 | A right-facing portrait bust of John Fitzgerald Kennedy fills the central field, rendered in high-relief cameo style with fine detail in the hair and facial features, consistent with the iconic effigy used on commemorative issues. The legend JOHN F. KENNEDY arcs along the upper periphery, with his birth and death years 1917-1963 continuing to the right. The denomination $10 appears in the lower field beneath the portrait. The frosted effigy contrasts sharply against the deeply mirrored proof field. |

Liberia's Central Bank issued a prolonged run of small-format gold commemoratives through the early 2000s, many struck by private mints in Germany and marketed almost exclusively to collector-tourists and overseas distributors rather than circulating within Liberia at all. The Kennedy subject was one of dozens of world figures pressed into service across the series, which critics in the numismatic press noted bore little relationship to Liberian history or monetary need.
At 0.5 grams, the gold content is fractional enough that bullion value has always been secondary to the commemorative premium — a premium that has eroded considerably as the market absorbed the series' true mintage scope.
