| Opis awersu | The obverse displays the official seal of the Republic of the Marshall Islands rendered in high relief at center, depicting a frigate bird with outstretched wings above a traditional Marshallese stick chart, flanked by a sailing canoe at right and a modern vessel at left, with a radiant sun and traditional implements above. The outer border consists of a decorative chain motif encircling the entire design. The curved legend REPUBLIC OF THE MARSHALL ISLANDS arcs along the upper periphery, while the Marshallese national motto JEPILPILIN KE EJUKAAN curves along the lower border; the denomination $10 and the date 1993 appear at the sides, and the word SEAL appears on a cartouche at the base of the central device. |

The Marshall Islands issued a long series of commemorative copper-nickel dollars throughout the early 1990s, flooding the collector market to the point where secondary values collapsed almost immediately. This dolphin issue was part of that same production run — pieces struck by foreign mints on contract and sold largely through direct mail subscription, never intended for actual circulation in the islands.
