Obverse description The arms of Guyana are depicted centrally in high relief, featuring a shield quartered with a canje pheasant and wavy lines representing the nation's rivers, supported by two jaguars rampant, and surmounted by an Amerindian headdress as crest. A scroll beneath the shield bears the national motto ONE PEOPLE ONE NATION ONE DESTINY in the field. The circular legend OUR PEOPLE - OUR MOST PRECIOUS ASSET arcs around the upper periphery, while the issuer name BANK OF GUYANA and the date appear in the lower field.

Reverse description A bold left-facing portrait bust of Cuffy, the celebrated leader of the 1763 Berbice slave rebellion and national hero of Guyana, occupies the left portion of the field, rendered in high sculptural relief with fine detail of his bearded visage. To the right of the portrait, the denomination 10 DOLLARS is prominently inscribed, with the name CUFFY appearing below in the lower right field. The arc legend COLLECTIVE RESPONSIBILITY curves along the upper periphery.
