| Obverse description | The national coat of arms of Belize occupies the central field, depicting two mestizo woodcutters as supporters — one bearing an axe, the other a paddle — flanking a shield charged with crossed tools and a sailing ship, surmounted by a mahogany tree. A flowing ribbon scroll beneath the shield bears the national motto in Latin.
